Summer is striking hard in here in Bristol Town, with rising temperatures affecting my time at home and behind the gaming desk. This means I am much more nomadic seeking AC wherever possible. The Gaming Industry on Strike
As mentioned earlier this week, SAG-AFTRA (the US union for performers in the entertainment industry) is going on strike to implement sufficient provisions against the exploitative use of AI and synthetic performances in the gaming industry. I am a strong advocate for regulations on this topic and stand in support of the union. However, the entire industry will need to brace itself, as the 2023 strikes of the entertainment industry had dire consequences for those who couldn't afford to wait for agreements to be reached. First Look at Assassin's Creed IV - Black Flag
Following the backlash of Skull and Bones earlier this year, Assassin's Creed IV - Black Flag has been advocated as a superior pirates game among countless social media accounts and forums of the community. I was very curious to look into it and jumed aboard following the recent summer sales of the PS Store. Last week, I explored the first 2.5 hours of the game and was very surprised at how good AC Black Flag is, and how well it holds up almost 11 years after its release. Here are my first impressions of the game, and why you should give it a go!
Dune Awakening - Let's Wait and See!
I am a big fan of Dune, and the prospect of a MMO extending the exploration of franchise is something I could get excited about! However, I remain a little sceptical about the game design, phased gaming experience across various servers, and the overall sustainability of the title passed the hype of launch... Whilst the trailer is appealing, there is not enough out there to get me hooked yet, but that might change as we get closer to the release schedule. Let's wait and see!
Jurassic Park: Survival
The announcement of a new Jurassic Park title is making waves - here promising to faithfully re-enact the events of the beloved 1993 Jurassic Park film with a specific focus on the chaotic exodus of Isla Nublar. Jurassic Park: Survival will be a first-person survival action-horror game where you will play the part of a scientist stranded on the island. I am certainly looking forward to exploring this title, and to survive the dino infested island!
