Games Aid - MGR Charity of Choice

Connecting with Games Aid during the launch of CineRPG has been such a rewarding experience. It’s only natural I wish to extend further support to this inspiring initiative through MattGoesRogue. Here is a bit more about the charity, and how you can help make a difference for children and young adults in need in the UK.

About Games Aid

Games Aid is a UK-based video games charity that acts as an umbrella organisation to support smaller charities helping disadvantaged and disabled children and young people.

It is a non-trading body, administered by Trustees who operate on a fixed-term basis, and run by a Chair who is also appointed for a fixed term. As the only fully democratic charity in the games industry, members of the gaming community propose and vote annually for the charities they wish to support.

In 2024, Games Aid made six donations of £30,000 each to Access Sport, AFK, Autistica, Game Therapy UK, and Solving Kids' Cancer. These donations support life-changing work for disadvantaged children and young people across the UK. The selection process for the 2025 charity election is now open.
